Old Testament consists of three 160 minute sessions that investigate the history and teaching of the Old Testament. In this subject, we consider the style, history and influence of Genesis 1-12, as well as the Pentateuch, prophets, judges and narratives of the Old Testament.

Session 1

In this segment of Café Theologica, Nathain Secker is speaking with David Thurston, minister at Central Sydney Presbyterian and Peter Moore, a lecturer in Theology at the Presbyterian Theological Centre in Sydney. Together they consider the literary and historical elements of the Old Testament, particularly Genesis chapters 1-12.

Session 2

In this segment of Café Theologica, Nathain Secker is speaking with David Thurston, Peter Moore and Junji Tai, a university student in Sydney. Together they explore in detail the Pentateuch, Joshua and Judges. They also continue their in depth study of Genesis 1-12.

Session 3

In this segment of Café Theologica, Nathain Secker is speaking with David Thurston, Peter Moore and Junji Tai. They look at the remainder of the Old Testament writings, considering the history and significance of these books for the Jewish people and for Christians today. Again, they refer to an in-depth study of Genesis 1-12.
