This module covers topics such as Biblical principles and models of leadership, the characteristics of effective leaders and the importance of managing change. It further delves into the collaborative nature of leadership and management, along with the issues of power, authority and responsibility.

Session 1
In this segment of Café Theologica, Carolyn Vaughan is speaking with Nathain Secker, the training director for Presbyterian Youth, Murray Norman, the general manager of PY, David Thurston, the minister at Central Sydney Presbyterian, Wayne Richards, the general manager of the Presbyterian Church in NSW, as well as Dirk Hatting, who also has extensive experience in this area. They look at Biblical principles and models of leadership, as well as leadership qualities and styles. They talk about the characteristics of effective leaders, the process of leadership development and appropriate styles of leadership for different situations and people.

They explore power, authority, responsibility, accountablility and influence, and the differences and relationships between those elements. They talk about the transformational role of leadership and management, as well as goal setting and time management.
